  • MAC – Contemporary Art Museum: The MAC has a collection of more than 10,000 pieces (paintings, sculptures, drawings, carvings and photographs of international and national artists). In the museum inventory you will find works of Picasso, Paul Klee, Modigliani, Miro, Kandinsky and more. National artists like Lasar Segall, Di Cavalcanti, Candido Portinari, and artists from the actual scene are present as well.
  • MAM – Modern Art Museum: Located at Ibirapuera Park in a building designed by renowned architect Oscar Niemayer, this nonprofit institution has in its collection about 5,000 art pieces. The majority of Brazilian artists are from the second half of the 20th century. It also has a sculpture garden designed by Roberto Burle Marx and one of the largest libraries specializing in art of Sao Paulo;
  • MASP – The Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo: has an extensive collection of important national and international artists. It is considered the most important museum in the South Hemisphere. Highlights of the collection are works from Raphael, Bellini, Andrea Mantegna and Ticiano from the Italian School. MASP has a collection of 73 sculptures of Degas. Spanish artists are also represented in here with paintings from El Greco, Goya and Velazquez. Renowned artists like Picasso, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Modigliani, Toulouse-Lautrec and many others have their art shown at MASP. Latin American art is well represented by artists like Candido Portinari, Diego Rivera, Torres Garcia, Anita Malfatti and Victor Brecheret. The museum has different centers of Archeology, Sculptures, Drawings, Photography, Tapestry, Design, Ceramics and Carving;
  • PINACOTECA: This Sao Paulo art museum has in its collection some of the most important and relevant pieces of Brazilian art, with more than 8,000 paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries. In addition, the museum is also an important location for cultural events and temporary exhibitions, and is also focused in contemporary art. The Pinacoteca also has an archive section where important documents regarding relevant information about art history are kept.
