Going to Cantareira State Park 30 min from downtown São Paulo by private vehicle, you will get a breath of fresh air in one of the largest urban forest in the world.
 
After your guide picks you up from your hotel , he drives you to this astonishing Park that covers an area equal to 8,000 football fields of forest and declared São Paulo’s City Green Belt Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

The first park section to be opened to public was Pedra Grande (big rock) that is today one of the most recommended centers for a common visitor. Its infrastructure has also an amphitheater and five easy tracks: During tracks, you may watch some animals, especially, monkeys.
 
Other excellent attractions are the Carp Lake with playground and Mirante da Pedra Grande, a 1,010 meter high belvedere, which offers one of the best views of São Paulo.
