Independence Park Tour

IndependenceIndependence park ( Inspired in the Versailles Gardens). This park is the location of where Emperor Dom Peter I proclaimed Brazilian independence from Portugal in 1822 on the banks of the Ipiranga stream.
 
Parque da Independencia features a variety of interesting attractions: Museu Paulista, french-style gardens, the Monument to Independence, Casa do Grito and the Ipiranga stream running through the park.
