Maria Luisa & Oscar America Foundation ( artistic and historical collection). The Maria Luisa and Oscar Americano Foundation has an artistic and historical collection of around 1,500 pieces of furniture, silverwork, porcelain, imagery, weavings and a large collection of objects from the Brazilian Imperial period, in addition to a park, tea room and gift shop.
The Foundation holds courses, concerts, temporary exhibits and provides monitored visits. Amid plants and trees of various kinds like Brazil wood and coffee plant, the house was designed by architect Oswaldo Arthur Bratke in 1950. What gives unity the extensive temporal to the acquis (about four centuries) as well as its thematic breadth, it’s the feeling of Brazilianness that it is present and remains alive among those in charge of the foundation.
