Afrobrazilian Museum: With the second largest negro population in the world, the representation of this population is extremely significant in the construction of Brazilian identity.
So the Afrobrazilian museum was built in 2004 in honor of African-Brazilian people, who helped to rise the base of this nation. It’s a space dedicated to research, conservation and exhibition of art whose goal is to preserve the heritage of negroes in the country.
In addition to its collection, comprising over five thousand pieces and featuring paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs, books, videos and documents of Brazilian and foreign artists.
