Butantan Institute: One of the most renowned centers for biomedical research in the world, the Butantan Institute is the largest producer of serums and vaccines in Brazil.

It has a collection with more than 54 thousand specimens of snakes. The biological museum is dedicated to an exhibition of snakes, reptiles, amphibians and arthropods alive and set in artificial, biomes that replicate their natural environments, with its educational and cultural character.
