Rock Gallery is a four-story shopping center in São Paulo downtown that has about 450 shops devoted to the world of Rock and other musical styles such as Hip Hop, Funk among other.
With nearly 200 shops geared at those fans who take Rock’n’Roll very seriously the Rock Gallery stands out for a wide range of rock’n’roll goods that can be found there ranging from cool t-shirts to neat boots.
This shopping center was opened in 1963 and throughout its history a variety of famous musicians have visited this mall such as: Kurt Cobain, Bruce Dickinson, Tarja Turunen and others. At first it housed beauty salons, stores and technical assistance and screen electronic devices, but but at the end of the’70s, Music stores started to install themselves in the building.
The shopping sells CDs, records, videos, shirts and posters. In addition, there are studios to get tattoos, piercings along with Hip Hop culture stores selling street art, break dance and rap articles.
