City of Boituva (Parachute Jumps & Hot Air Balloon). The sky of the city of Boituva dawns always colorful. The reason is a lot balloon rides and parachute jumps that happen in the city every day. The region is home to companies accredited to practice ballooning and parachuting, in addition to the only airport of Brazil exclusively for fans of activities.
Boituva is home to the National Skydiving Centre, the biggest facility in the country, and has been described as the Mecca for Brazilian skydivers. The adventure in the air lasts about five minutes, and almost a minute of free fall to 200 kilometers per hour. Emotion can be registered by own trainer or an exclusive cameraman.
For those who prefer a more peaceful program, the choice is the balloon ride. The flights – between 500 and 1,500 meters above sea level – last about an hour, a distance of four kilometers over farms, fields, grazing areas, plantations and towns that surround a river nearby.
