Guarapiranga Lake, Ecologicol Park (Water activities). Situated on the southern city of São Paulo, the Ecological Park Guarapiranga occupies 2.5 square kilometers of extension in a protected area with recreational options for the most different likes. The park has trails, sports courts, two football fields, snack bar, barbecue grills, venue for concerts, a nursery with more than 379,000 seedlings of plants and 500 species of animals.
You can even walk over the dam waters on a walking path of 1.6 kilometers of concrete. For small children, there is a fun space full of Toys where they can spend energy and pass the time away playing with themselves or games of all kinds. There is also space for those seeking to unite culture and leisure. The Amphitheatre, voluntary groups make theatrical performances. The Infocenter, ten computers with internet connection are available to the public. And the Library’s collection has more than eight thousand items. Another highlight is the Trash Museum, which exposes the various objects found submerged in Guarapiranga Reservoir: from soda cans to tires, sofas, refrigerators and stoves. As a true oasis, the Ecological Park Guarapiranga is a haven surrounded by an amazing world of water and full of leisure, culture and sports.
