July 9 belvedere (Viewpoint from where the history is made). Meeting point for intellectuals in the 20s, the mansion that once housed the Belvedere Trianon was demolished in the 50s and had part of its land transformed into the MASP (SP Art Museum).
Now there is a huge span underneath the structure of MASP that supported by pillars used for Art & Craft Markets, and also beginning of demonstrations.
From the border of this space visitors and passerby are able to spot far away towards downtown and Cantareira Mount range. The previously owner of the plot who donated it to the construction of Museum, wanted to preserve the view to downtown, and demanded it as a condition for the donation.
The space has a magnificent view of downtown and the avenue that bears its name, the July 9 ave. There is also a interior part of the belvedere and the fountains of July 9 Ave that has recently been renovated. There is a gallery in metallic structure with glass over the observation deck . Inside the hall operates a café and a restaurant with a rotating chefs – one per month.
