This 18th century mansion is one of the last remaining in São Paulo of this age.

The place was once the former residence of Domitila de Castro do Canto, who was the mistress of the Emperor Dom Pedro I, but also an important figure who brought many conquests to the then small village called São Paulo. Today, the building features a museum that allows visitors to understand more about the life style of the 19th century and life of the extraordinary marchioness of Santos.
