Boa Vista St. (Old São Paulo financial district). Since its birth in 1554, the city of São Paulo has been rebuilt several times, keeping the eclectic architecture that still have some of its buildings of Boa Vista Street, hub that connects several streets to the historical downtown.
Over time, the architectural styles have gone through developments and the area started to house public buildings, major banks and offices. This resulted in the presence of employees and students from various professions giving this set of streets, squares and spaces more civic purposes witj popular meetings, demonstrations and rallies.
Despite the emergence of other business districts, the Boa Vista St. continues to be an important financial center in the heart of São Paulo, housing large national and international banks other than the Brazil Stock Exchange.
